The Hay Delay is a timed
feeding system that you can program to fit your individual horses
need! It is opperated by an actuator, batter, solar pannel, timer,
and counter. This unit is SIMPLE to use, and effective.
The feeder is perfect
for stalled horses, and pasture horses. It is effective for
performance and show horses that need to maintain a certain body
condition.

The feeder
consiste of two sections. The first houses the hay, keeping
it dry and out of the weather. The second section is for
houseing the mecahical parts, this keeps them out of the
weather as well as keeping the horses off of the mechanical
parts. The lid is powered by an actuatore. The actuator has
a resistance of up to 150lb. and moves slowly allowing time
for the horse to move out of the way as it powers down. It
also has a quite operation. |

The timer can
be programed to allow single feedings or multiple feedings
during a single day. It can also be programmed for the
length of feedings. This is useful since each horse is
unique in the amount of feed it needs.
The solar
pannel on top keeps the battery charged without needing an
electrical power source. The solare panel is durable and can
withstand up to golf ball size hail. The battery can operate
the feeder 30 times before it will need a charge, this is
useful if you need to bring the feeder indoors for a short
period of time.
There is also a
counter that counts the number of times it has opened to
feed. This assures no feedings are missed. |

When the lid is closed the horse can not access the feed.
The feeder can be hung on a fence, or
placed on a stand. The feeder is durable and has withstood
horses pawing, biting, and rubbing on it. |
